Q: What is the real difference between individual and corporate assessments?

A: Okay, the real difference is a truly individual assessment only involves one person and the data is specific to the individual. Individual assessmennts can be grouped together to evaluate the performance of a team. They can also be used to provide insight for a manager who needs to be able to manage a diversity team of individuals. While truly corporate assessments will involve a large number of individuals - in some cases the entire organization's population - to gain insight into cultural or organizational dynamics.

Q: Are these "one and done" assessments?

A: They could be done only once. The individual assessments are very powerful with the insight provided to the individual. However, it is my belief that assessments can and shoulde be used over time - particularly the corporate assessments. They are best when executed again after an 18 to 24 month period has elapsed. This allows for pre and post data regarding initiatives executed between the time lines. Also, the individual assessments should provide information that can be used for multiple applications - including communication, developmental plans, management best practices, team dynamics, career tracking, succession planning, hiring and selection, job matching, and personal development.

Q: Is there a Train-the-Trainer process available?

A: Yes, we can provide Train-the-Trainer processes for your organization. We schedule some "open" enrollment sessions during the year for our popular assessments. There are also full certification exams available as well as home study systems for the individual assessment working knowledge. These are available to anyone in your organization - the human resources and training groups are the key participants. Contract us for specifics.

Q: Are these assessments validated?

A: Yes and No. Okay, let's get specific about validation. First, the key individual assessments (behavior/DISC, Values/Workplace Motivators, TriMetrix/Personal Talent Skills, and DNA Competencies) are all validated. Independent research groups have studied, researched and validated the accuracy of our instruments. Then there are the corporate assessments that need no validation (with one exception - questions used should not be leading or biased in presentation.) as they are only gathering information to be reviewed. So the answer is - the assessments that need to be validated - are validated.

Q: How can I order your assessment?

A: Currently, you will need to contact us and place an order for our assessments. We are working on a member page which will allow registered members to log in and place orders electronically. Sign up for the newsletter and assessment update emails and you will be notified about this service when operational.

Q: How Are the Assessments Activated - is it electronic or manual systems?

A: Our primary delivery of the assessments is over the internet. We use a patented Internet Delivery System where individuals log in to a secure website to execute the assessment. The finished reports can also be delivered over the internet in a PDF format for printing or review. We also provide a printing and binding service to our clients. Manual scored assessments are available also.

Q: Do You Provide Debriefing of the Data from Your Assessments?

A: Yes, especially the corporate assessments. These assessments need an expert opinion of the causes and effects of patterns of responses and interpretation of the data. We also provide a debrief or coaching for the individual reports - especially the multiple assessment reports. Since each individual is unique, their responses can be very unique and how that impacts their performance can be benefical using a debrief.

Q: How long has this company been in business?

A: InnerActive Consulting Group, Inc. has been in business since 1988. However, our company was known as Kaizen Performance Group, Inc. until 2004 when we changed the name of the company for branding purposes. InnerActive is the key component of our beliefs and branding philosophy. We believe that ALL change begins in the INNER thoughts and then moves in an ACTIVE mode as people progress.

Q: Have you always been using assessment in your development processes?

A: Yes. We have actively been using assessments since 1990. Assessments have found a place in our processes for one reason - they work! The more I learned about assessments the more I used them - again with more success for my clients. Our coaching programs have a requirement for using assessments so all the strengths and weaknesses of our client are known - to both the client and us.
